ABRSM stands for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. It is one of the world's leading organizations for music education and examinations, based in the United Kingdom. Established in 1889, ABRSM sets standards in music learning, performance, and theory through its internationally recognized grading system.

About the class

Our ABRSM Music Theory Class prepares students to take the internationally recognized ABRSM Music Theory exams. The curriculum is designed to build a strong foundation in music theory, covering:

  • Notation: Understanding rhythms, time signatures, key signatures, and musical symbols.

  • Scales and Keys: Learning major and minor scales, intervals, and key relationships.

  • Harmony: Basics of chord construction, progressions, and cadences.

  • Form and Analysis: Understanding musical structures and styles.

  • Italian Terms: Mastering performance directions and dynamics.

The class ensures students are confident and ready to succeed in ABRSM theory tests by offering structured lessons, guided practice, and mock exam preparation.
