Hongrui Wang
Violin
Hongrui Wang is a violinist currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree in Violin Performance at the University of North Texas. He previously obtained a Master’s degree in Violin Performance from Harbin Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor’s degree from Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing.
Hongrui has earned several awards in international competitions, including fourth place at the 2017 Hong Kong International Chamber Music Competition, first prize at the 2019 Korea-China International Violin Competition, and third prize at the 2021 Swiss Tomorrow’s Classical Music Competition. In 2023, he won first prize in the Heilongjiang regional round of the China Golden Bell Award for Music Violin Competition.
He has also performed with major orchestras in China, including the Beijing Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, and Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2023, he was invited by conductor Muhai Tang to serve as Guest Concertmaster of the Harbin Symphony Orchestra.
